Creation of startups: a unique model from Grenoble
Ranked 5th most innovative city in the world and 2nd in Europe, Grenoble counts 1 in 5 of its inhabitants working in research, innovation or higher education. More than 200 startups originating from public research have been created in the area in 10 years.
Floralis takes an active part in this creation process: more than 100 of those created startups exploit technologies from the UGA, including around twenty from Floralis' investment portfolio.

Madcap-Nano
The exceptional mechanical strength properties of graphene, its large specific surface area, its extremely low friction coefficient, and its biocompatibility make graphene a clear asset for the applications selected by Madcap-nano: an additive for anti-corrosion paint, for anti-abrasion paint, and for lubricant or wet lubricant coatings. Madcap, Microfluidic ADvanced CAvitation Process, has enabled the development of a new cost-effective and eco-friendly process for exfoliating graphite microparticles into graphene nano-sheets dispersed in an aqueous solution.
